    The thermal shut-off valves of the KTZ are designed to automatically shut off the gas pipeline that supplies gas to industrial or household appliances when heated during a fire. A locking element in the form of a ball is installed inside the KTZ body in a spring-loaded state, which in turn is held by a hot-melt element made of a special alloy. When the KTZ case is heated to a temperature of 80-100 degrees Celsius, the thermoelement melts, releasing the shut-off element, thereby the gas flow is hermetically blocked.
    • KTZ is installed only indoors.
    • The KTZ is installed by the very first device in front of the shut-off valve on the pipeline at the entrance of the pipeline to the room.
    • The KTZ should be installed strictly in the direction of gas flow in the pipeline in accordance with the pointer on the valve body (pointer in the form of an arrow).
    • It is not allowed to install thermal shut-off valves in rooms where the ambient temperature can reach 52-55 degrees Celsius.
